To Kill A Mocking Bird Post 2

Perspective of Jem

After school one day I was hanging out on the couch and Scouts opens the door chewing gum in her mouth. Chewing gum was a big deal because we couldn't afford it. I asked her where she got it and said she got it hanging from a tree. I freaked because you don't even know where that was and I forced her to spit it out. She was a little mad at it for me and i kept telling her it was for her own safety. That gum could have been all moldy and terrible and she put it in her mouth I mean what was she thinking. As school went on Jem and Scout did what they usually died and then on the last day of school they found two Indian Head pennies where Scout had found the gum. They pennies where kept in a small box. Jem and Scout were totally shocked that they had found something like this just laying around. If you don't know already that Indian Head pennies are good luck and who ever has them will have good luck as long as they have them. Jem thought that this tree might be someones hideout and might keep their secret stuff in there. Jem suggested putting them back but then Scout said finders keeper loser weepers unless proven owners. So Jem and Scout decided to keep the pennies and they both thought that they would have good luck because they did. Summer goes by and Dill shows up and on the last day of summer Dill dares Jem to go look through the window of the Radely place. Jem looks through and hears a shot gun fired at him and runs away and gets his pants caught under the fence of the school and gets away.

  1. You focused on one element of the story and you worte about it well. i also like how you added in things that wern't told in the story. like when you said they couldnt offord chewing gum.

Please read over your piece when done writing it. your writing can become so much better, you may think of things you didnt think of before. finally stay in chacter. near the end you said jem and scout instead of scout and i. next time make sure to stay in the correct perspective.
